Thonet Chair - Turns to the Dark Side

This water damaged, 3 legged beauty was in need of some attention. Resuscitated from left over White Oak veneers, the final step in the rehabilitation was jet black dye. The history of the repair still evident in the textural difference between the original Maple and new Oak.
