lakewood bathroom

EXISTING CONDITIONS:  With worn, hastily installed, low end fixtures and finishes, the bathroom was sun starved, cramped and in need of attention.

RESPONSE:  A ‘light box’ was inserted into an opening in the exterior wall which had been covered during a previous renovation. The interior finishes, electrical and plumbing fixtures were upgraded.

REUSE:  The existing 20” deep cast iron tub was refinished. A salvaged Baltic birch countertop was used to construct the ‘light box’ and a continuous ledge below the mirror. Drafting linen diffuses the natural light and maintains privacy.
