Slab Flattening

First step towards a live edge coffee table.... Taming the slab.

Stabilized the slab with shims, then pitched to determine the first continuous plane across entire slab that was closest to the surface. 3/8” was the largest bite.

Steel tube rails support the router sled.

Mid flattening. Cut of the first path seen at top of photo. Second pass (in progress) from the bottom of the photo.
